Advisory Board
Prior to co-founding Oriel Therapeutics,
Paul was involved with the development and commercialization
of inhaled delivery systems at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
Leaving GSK as Director of Delivery Systems in the Global
Respiratory Therapeutic Group, Paul has 18 years in
the pharmaceutical industry in both the US and UK and
is a recognized leader in the inhaled drug delivery
field. Paul's accomplishments as the CEO at Oriel and
his experience building the Inhaled Product Development
Group at GSK make him a perfect fit for providing guidance
to GILERO.
Rob started FineLine Prototyping
on a foundation that included working with one of six
beta SLA machines built by 3D Systems. Rob is considered
a pioneer in the field, having pursued accuracy and
feature resolution early in his career at Motorola.
An industry expert, he was one of the first in the business
to successfully implement Direct AIM™
and 3D Keltool™ tooling
solutions for accurate injection molded plastic parts.
Prior to FineLine, Rob applied his skills to addressing
the demanding needs of medical devices at Becton Dickinson.
To the GILERO advisory board, Rob brings his experiences
as president and founder of a service company focused
on the needs of product development teams working with
precision plastic components.
John has been involved with the
design and development of medical devices for over 30
years. With master's degrees in both engineering and
business, John has experience co-founding Hall-Woodroof,
Inc., which developed artificial skin, and founding
Hall-Tech, a consulting firm. He has served as a development
engineer for Baxter, market manager and Director of
R&D at Edwards Critical Care Division of AHS, and as
Corporate Director of R&D at Becton Dickinson. As a
certified new product development professional, John's
experiences as both an entrepreneur and in industry
will provide GILERO with an excellent sounding board
for identifying key suppliers and continuing to improve
the product development process.
James is a pediatrician whose daily
interaction with patients provides unique insight for
his role at the medical device company he co-founded.
In addition to his pediatric practice in Maumee, Ohio,
James heads up new product development at Bionix, a
Toledo based medical device company specializing in
single-use plastic medical devices, radiation therapy
devices, and prosthetic solutions. A Fellow of the American
Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Academy of
Medicine of Toledo and Lucas County, James is on the
attending staff at three Northwest Ohio hospitals. James'
experience in new product development through the eyes
of a caregiver will be instrumental in adding to the
development process at GILERO.
Ola has expertise in manufacturing,
rapid prototyping, rapid tooling, direct metal fabrication
and medical modeling. Current research interests include
custom design and fabrication of titanium implants,
tissue engineering using biopolymers, medical modeling,
and advanced manufacturing technologies. Ola is currently
collaborating with surgeons UNC Chapel Hill, Duke Medical
Center, and the Veterinary School at NCSU on several
medical research projects. Ola is teaching manufacturing
related courses in the Department of Industrial Engineering
and a medical modeling course cross-listed with the
Department of Biomedical Engineering.
With over ten years of experience
in the manufacturing sector, Mustafa is the president
and founder of a successful consulting service business.
His expertise is in quality management systems, statistical
methods, problem solving, and process improvement. With
experience leading clients to ISO and QS certification,
training in the areas of process analysis and optimization,
and work with injection molding manufacturing companies,
Mustafa provides a unique manufacturing perspective to
add to the GILERO advisory board. |
