Todd
is a Professional Engineer, Certified Quality Engineer,
and Certified Quality Auditor who earned his BS in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Akron. Todd's responsibilities
and experiences include new product development, quality
system compliance, failure analysis, and the development
and implementation of supplier quality assurance programs.
As a former Management Representative, Todd has led
several plastic manufacturing companies to compliance
with ISO-9002, ISO-9001, and QS-9000 quality system
requirements.
Todd's desire to become an entrepreneur began early
when in High School he started a graphic design company,
creating menus and direct marketing literature. He later
moved on to co-host seminars with speaker Dr. Genichi
Taguchi on Robust Design. In 1999, Todd co-founded a
business incubator where he worked with local universities
to assist in the commercialization of technology and
played a key role in the creation of a quality inspection
service company. Todd has also served as a lead quality
engineer supporting a product development team for a
medical device manufacturer. In this capacity, he ensured
that customers not only received the most reliable drug
delivery products, but also that the product's design
history file was compliant to the FDA Quality System
Regulation. Todd's input to product development was
instrumental to all aspects of development from initial
design concepts to final production assembly and packaging.
He brings with him a full suite of experience and training,
including Quality System Regulation for Medical Devices,
ISO-9000 and QS-9000 interpretation and auditing, statistical
process control, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA),
continuous improvement techniques, and mistake proofing.
In addition to leading the company and establishing
a solid foundation for GILERO, Todd has developed and
continues to build GILERO's quality systems. Serving
double duty as both executive and engineer, Todd's main
project role is supplier quality. He works directly
with suppliers coordinating tooling and equipment builds,
qualifying manufacturing processes, and ensuring process
controls are effective.
Todd is a family man and loves to spend time with his
wife and two boys. He enjoys travel, home improvement
projects, and college sporting events.
