Cell Expansion System

Gilero assisted in creating an electromechanical regenerative medicine system. Our Integrated Systems engineering team sourced new components, developed circuits, offered electrical system design support, completed schematic capture, created PCB layout, and designed customized cable assemblies all under our customer’s quality system. A major part of the work Gilero supported on this project was keeping detailed design documentation so the project could be simultaneously worked on by the client’s engineering team as well. These processes followed 21 CFR 820 Design Controls and positioned us to help build the client’s Design History File (DHF).

Cell expansion is the process of cells multiplying through division. It’s beneficial for growth, tissue repair, reproduction, maintaining health, and responding to environmental changes.

Cell Expansion System FAQs:

How long does cell expansion take?

Cell expansion times can vary widely. Some cells, like bacteria, can multiply rapidly in a few hours, while human and mammalian cells may take days to double in number. The specific cell type and culture conditions play a significant role in determining the expansion time.

What is the cell expansion stage of growth?

The cell expansion stage is when cells actively multiply, increasing their numbers.
