Amanda Schaffers

Manager, Project Management

Amanda oversees project management activities at Gilero and continues to additionally serve as a project manager and a technical resource for a variety of project teams. Her work since joining the company in 2015 includes product design and intellectual property generation, leading clinical builds, coordinating DV&V testing, guiding FDA submissions, and authoring DHF documentation for products ranging from ophthalmic devices and surgical tools to inhalers and mouthguards. Before joining the Gilero family, Amanda earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University, where she additionally completed an undergraduate honors thesis in heart valve design and minored in French. She began her engineering career at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics in technical and project management roles and was a named inventor on multiple patent applications associated with the clinical diagnostics platform, Atellica. She enjoys hosting family and friends, traveling, baking, gardening, and spending time on her mini farm.
