Director, Manufacturing Process Development

Andrew has a technical leadership role at Gilero with a proven track record of commercializing new medical devices. After developing manufacturing processes for a wide variety of emerging technology medical devices for several years, his career path was deliberately steered towards device design while playing a pivotal role in successful product startups. This provided him a broad and practical view of the product life cycle since design and manufacturing for success should never be separate functions. Andrew leads Gilero’s Process Development team, which is responsible for evaluating new devices and creating production systems to meet customer targets for quality requirements, unit pricing, production volumes, and launch timing. Along with the rest of the Gilero team, this group works closely with the customer to manage production scale up, balancing the need for increased device supply with the associated capital expenditures to minimize financial risks. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
